HTC One Mini and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact are miniature version of flagship devices HTC One and Sony Xperia Z1, respectively. The HTC One Mini released in August and the Z1 Compact made its appearance at the CES, 2014. The devices are lashed with the top notch features and offer great value to the users who prefer a smaller screen size. Here we are with a comparison between both the devices on the basis of features they are installed with.

HTC One MiniThe Xperia Z1 Compact gets the benefit technologies developed after the release of the HTC One Mini, which is cheaper and hence give more value for money. The 4.3 inch display of both the devices has been complimented with 342 ppi pixel density and 720p resolution. The Sense UI of HTC and X-Reality Engine features in Sony, give a user friendly experience. The video lists the features of Z1 Compact which include the waterproof and dust resistant qualities along with quad core processor, Adreno 330 GPU and faster Wi-Fi adapter. The quad core processor beats a HTC’s dual core processor and the 2 GB RAM installed in Sony, gives it an upper hand. Latest NFC technology is also missing from One Mini and the 20.7 MP camera of Z1 Compact borrowed from the Xperia Z1 also wins with an edge over the 4 MP Ultra Pixel camera of HTC One Mini.

The stereo speakers on the front panel of the Taiwanese Smartphone look great and perform even better. It is almost 20 percent lighter than Z1 Compact and the curved design scores more than the flat design of the competitor. However, if we talk about the overall scores based on the spec sheet, Xperia Z1 is a clear winner, but the low price of HTC is definitely something to consider. And which phone will suit you, totally depends on your tastes and preferences. If you are fond of music and like the combination of beauty and technology, go for HTC One Mini and if you use your smarphone ruggedly go for the Xperia Z1 compact (thanks to IP 58 certification).
