HTC One released in the first quarter of last year, and following the Smartphone trend, the successor of this highly popular model will hit the market shelves, somewhere around its anniversary. We have been hearing rumours and witnessing several leaks about next gadget from the Taiwanese company, codenamed as HTC M8. It is speculated that, this device will succeed the HTC One league with the ‘HTC One +’ name.
Previously, we heard that the next flagship device may be named as ‘HTC One 2’, which didn’t sound very right. The specs of the device have already been leaked and show a minor upgradation from the predecessor device. The rumours suggest that HTC One + will be featuring a full HD 5 inch display screen instead of the 4.7 inches with the same technology. Snapdragon 600 will be replaced by the 805 chipset from Qualcomm. The clock speed of the quad core processor and 2 GB RAM will not be modified.
However, the camera is one key area that has been improved drastically. A 6 or 8 MP Ultra pixel camera will be equipped in the new handset. We already have seen the quality of 4 MP (Ultra Pixel) camera, and the quality of images that this configuration will produce is quite promising. The HTC sense 6.0, which will be introduced with the KitKat version will be seen in this device along with a 2900 mAh battery, instead of 2300 mAh battery of HTC One.
