The HTC One smartphone is considered as one of the design wonders due to the build quality provided to it by the company. Although the marketing strategies applied for this phone are not as high as used by Samsung for its latest flagship, Galaxy S4, but still it is able to create huge revenues for the Taiwanese vendor. This phone has seen delays with the supply due to the issues with the component supply. The supply shortage hindered this handset so much that it was delayed by the company for a long time. These component shortage issues were however solved after a few weeks.
Despite of the delays this smartphone has been able to make remarkable achievements for its manufacturer. Initially when this phone was unveiled to its fans some benchmark tests were performed on it. We reported that HTC One excelled over Google Nexus 4 successfully in terms of its processing power in these benchmark tests. Now the recent reports suggest that this smartphone has grabbed the Best Device award at Computex 2013.
Previously, HTC One was rewarded with Best Mobile Handset, Device or Tablet in the Global Mobile Awards. Following the GSMA i.e. Global System for Mobile Communication Association, this smartphone has again been awarded as a market leader for design and innovation.
The Computex Taipei 2013 was organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council along with iF i.e. International Forum Design. At this award show, the mobile vendor was able to pick up gold medal in design and innovation which is considered as the highest honor achieved in these award shows. This award was presented to HTC by ma Ying-jeou, who is the president of Taiwan.
HTC’s chief marketing officer, Ben Ho, said that as this new smartphone has achieved another international award it can be concluded how HTC has proven its design capabilities both in the product design and user experience. He added that they will continue innovating their products and providing the customers with the products with highest quality.
This achievement is highly remarkable for HTC as it stood out from about 254 product entries that were made in this award show. As per the sources, it has been revealed that the sophisticated detailing and design helped the jury in distinguishing this handset from numerous phones that were standing along in the competitive product category. We also compared the specifications for HTC One with the latest flagship of Samsung, Galaxy S4. The results of this comparison resulted in a stiff competition amongst these new handsets from two renowned manufacturers in the market.
